One day training on site.

We follow CDC guidelines our classrooms, office and bathrooms are clean and disinfected after every use. Our seating is limited to allow for the required 6ft social distancing. We have a portable UV Air filter, We disinfect classrooms every three hours. We have spare masks,Face Shields, Gloves, and Hand Sanitizer. All participants are required to submit to Temperature Screening upon entering the facility each time. This 6 hour workshop provides a comprehensive overview of Medication Assisted Treatment (MATS) and (MARS ) Medication Assisted Recovery Services which is the use of medications, in combination with behavioral therapies, to treat substance use disorders. MAT is primarily used for the treatment of addiction to opioids such as heroin and prescription pain relievers that contain opiates. The prescribed medication operates to normalize brain chemistry, block the euphoric effects of alcohol and opioids, relieve physiological cravings, and normalize body functions without the negative effects of the abused drug.This workshop will discuss the neurobiology of addiction. How substance use disorders impact the brain and how MAT’s works. Participants will obtain an overview of the different types of medications used in the treatment of opioid, nicotine and prescription drugs. Participants will understand the benefits of MATS and the management of Recovery.
