FOR-NY is invested in creating a well-trained and supported peer workforce.
In partnership with the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), FOR-NY is pleased to be awarding scholarships for training to become a Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) and for CRPA Renewal training!
Please note: CRPA services are Medicaid-billable by your employer. Individual (coaching) providers do not bill Medicaid.
Prior to admission applicants will meet with a trainer for a face to face screening interview. Trainers and the FOR-NY team will then make a decision about acceptance and may advise additional steps to take.
Eligibility will be determined by region of the state, financial need, appropriateness/readiness for training and extent of lived experience. (NOTE: Current residential treatment clients are not eligible.)
PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE If you’ve taken the RCA and need Ethics training you may apply for the BPT scholarship program to be mentored through to certification (please click the button below to apply).
