Two day Ethics workshop will address topics specific to the addiction professionals to include Peer Mentors, Recovery Coaches and Advocates.
The therapeutic alliance is a unique relationship between the professional and client. It is imperative for professionals to understand and exercise adequate and professional boundaries at all times.
The workshop will cover the following topics
UNLAWFUL CONDUCT
SEXUAL MISCONDUCT
FRAUD-RELATED MISCONDUCT
EXPLOITATION OF CLIENTS
PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
SAFETY AND WELFARE
RECORD KEEPING
ASSISTING UNQUALIFIED/UNLICENSED PRACTICE
DISCIPLINE IN OTHER JURISDICTIONS
COOPERATION WITH THE BOARD
MODIFICATION OF CODE OF ETHICAL CONDUCT/DISCIPLINARY PROCEDURES
In addition emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, boundaries, transference & counter transference.
You will be able to identify potential situations where ethics are compromised and how to remediate those potential situations.
