1. Understand how unconscious bias cognitively develops.
2. Identify risk factors that help sustain unconscious bias.
3. Identify how unconscious bias underlines assumptions and stigma, and further impacts on communications and rapport building.

By the end of this module, students will be able to:
1. List ways to identify risk factors for providers working with communities of color.
2. List bias reducing activities that providers can employ to lessen bias.
3. Learn how by incorporating linguistically appropriate and affirming language supports person centered approaches.
