This course will discuss the dynamics of post-acute withdrawal, re-occurrence, as it pertains to the stages of recovery. It will explain the etiology of re-occurences, intervention tactics, and primary/ prevention strategies, We will examine strategies that encompassed balancing the client’s lifestyle while helping the individual develop positive coping mechanisms. It will explore stimulus control techniques, Impulsive behaviors, internal urge or craving management techniques and developing a re-occurrence prevention plan.
