Medication Supported Recovery (MSR, formerly MAT) is now part of the landscape of addiction treatment modalities and recovery pathways. CCAR’s Recovery Coach Academy© designed this training to help coaches, and anyone else working in the peer role, support people prescribed medications that aid in the recovery journey.

This 4-hour workshop led by Mountainside’s Recovery Coaches Zachary Cohn and Alex Lahr begins by recognizing our own personal biases that may act as barriers to demonstrating the values and principles that guide the profession to the people we serve as coaches.

Along with traditional therapies and recovery pathways, we will also explore the field of harm reduction and alternative therapies. Grasping these concepts will empower peer recovery professionals to help overcome stigma, advocate for their clients, and move forward the field of addiction treatment and recovery.

Cancellation policy:
Cancellation is required in writing at least 10 days prior to course start date. Cancellations within the 10-day period will receive a full credit that may be used for a future course. No-Show’s, those registered and confirmed participants who fail to show up, are responsible for full course fees as they are taking a seat of another participant. Once a course has begun, participants are responsible for full course fees, regardless of attendance.
