This course will occur on two Saturdays on the ZOOM platform.

Video/audio is required to participate.

Certificates of completion will be sent by email within 3 hours of completion.

This course was developed in response to continuing overdose within each of our communities. the struggle is real!
The goal of this training is:
• To shift from a crisis-oriented, professionally-directed community response to one that changes thinking and links its members back into supports that recognizes the welfare and safety, health and wellness vital to building back strong communities;
• To reduce the burden of public overdoses on Law Enforcement-EMS/and other emergency response teams;
• To arm community members with current knowledge and skills in current substance-using information;
• To prevent repeat overdose by utilizing new skills to plant seeds that may activate future change.

We must do more to ensure that the reversal of a potentially fatal overdose is not just another event in a long and protracted struggle with an addiction to stimulants and opioids, but rather the first important step toward effective treatment and sustained recovery.

This training meets 12-hours towards the NYCB (New York Certification Board) elective requirements towards CRPA and CARC renewal.
