Participants must register at: www.recoverycoachuniversity.com. In this 10 hour (2 day) workshop which builds on the required 10 Hr Online pre-requisite training, participants who have previously achieved their CRPA Certification and meet additional NYCB criteria for CRPA-F Certification* will have the opportunity to engaging in and practice using evidence based strategies and tools relevant to their work with caregivers of youth diagnosed with Substance Use Disorder or experiencing “social, emotional, medical, developmental, and/or behavioral challenges in the home, school, placement and/or community”

*Eligibility Requirements for CRPA-Family Certification:
Anyone can take the CRPA-Family Training! However, you are eligible for CRPA-Family Certification if you:
– Achieved your CRPA credential through NYCB
– Completed the 10 hours family-specialty online training modules; followed by
the 10 hours family-specialty classroom training (this class!)
– Identify as a ”parent, or primary caregiver, of a youth (21 years or younger at onset of family exposure to youth’s substance use) who has participated in, or navigated, the substance use disorder services system”
– Intend to work in an OASAS licensed treatment agency as a Family Peer Specialist supporting parents of children age 21 or under affected by their Substance Use Disorder.
