Stand Up For Recovery Day 2026
Save The Date: February 3rd 2026
About SURD: Every year, Stand Up for Recovery Day (SURD) unites people in recovery, families, allies, and advocates from across New York State for a powerful day of visibility and action at the Capitol in Albany. What began as a grassroots gathering has grown into one of the most important advocacy events in the state where our collective voices rise together to shape policy, reduce stigma, and expand support for recovery. SURD is more than an event it’s a celebration of hope and a reminder that recovery is a community effort. Each year, participants meet with legislators, share their stories, and highlight the importance of access, equity, and continued investment in recovery services. Together, we show New York and the nation that recovery is possible, that recovery is happening, and that recovery matters.
Registration for SURD 2026 will be held in December.
