The CCAR Recovery Coach Training is a 30-hour virtual program designed to prepare participants to provide non-clinical recovery support services within a recovery-oriented system of care.
This training follows the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) model and focuses on the role of the Recovery Coach as a mentor, advocate, and support to individuals across multiple pathways to recovery. Participants will develop core competencies in recovery coaching ethics, effective communication, motivational support, and connection to community resources.
Upon completion, participants will be prepared to deliver peer-based recovery support services that promote hope, empowerment, and long-term recovery outcomes.
Participants are required to obtain the CCAR Recovery Coach Academy (RCA) Training Manual prior to training:
