This training will meet virtually via zoom from 9-4:30 on Friday 6/26/26. There will be 2, 15 minute breaks and a 1 Hour lunch Break. We ask that folks attend this training as if it were in person; Certification Boards require folks to attend fully and with camera on.

This 6 hour training is approved for CJSR Renewal Hours! It is also approved for CRPA/CARC CEs and CARC Electives (one use only).
Additional Information:

This 6-Hour training will provide the key components for advocating for your participants in both the court and correctional settings. We will define and explore advocacy and types of advocacy; explore the peer role as advocates in these settings; apply lived experience to strategically advocate for both the individual and for systems change. Participants will create and practice their advocacy story as a justice peer advocate and obtain information on key language and acronyms found across these settings. Finally, participants will learn how to cultivate allies for enhancing the corrections/court system towards a more recovery-oriented system of care.
