Ethics Renewal: Principals, Boundaries, and Decision-Making

This 4-hour course, self-directed course is approved for Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA) and Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC) renewal credits in New York State and fulfills the ethics renewal requirement. The training reviews core ethical principles, introduces practical ethical decision-making frameworks, and clarifies the difference between boundary issues and ethical dilemmas. Participants will apply these concepts to real-world recovery support scenarios, strengthening their ability to uphold professional ethics, maintain healthy boundaries, and navigate challenging situations with integrity.

6 hour Applied Ethics for Peer Professionals

This 6-hour instructor led continuing education course provides Certified Recovery Peer Advocates (CRPA) and Certified Addiction Recovery Coaches (CARC) with practical guidance on how to apply the peer ethics and role standards in their work. We will review ethical scenarios and practicing decision making to discern what ethical behavior looks like in action. The course emphasizes confidentiality, accuracy, and person-centered language, helping participants develop skills that reflect ethical practice and support accountability, transparency, and respect for those they serve.
