This 20-hour foundational training fulfills the education requirement for the Peer Supervision Professional (PSP) certification, developed in alignment with the ASAP-NYCB Peer Supervision Professional Role Delineation Study (2023). Designed for individuals from any professional discipline who supervise peer recovery professionals in substance use disorder (SUD) service settings, this competency-based training builds knowledge, skills, and confidence in effective, ethical peer supervision. Participants will learn to integrate recovery-oriented principles into supervisory practice, foster peer role integrity, and create supportive environments that promote professional growth and ethical accountability. Core topics include supervision models, communication and feedback, ethics and boundaries, documentation, performance evaluation, and role distinction between clinical and peer functions.
*Please note, if there are less than 5 registered participants, dates will be re-scheduled. Registrants will be notified by March 30th and will have the option of a refund or attending the newly scheduled dates.
